This bike…
…has what you need to follow any road you find. It’s features are many, including:
Made for 650b (27.5”) wheels with plenty of clearance for big tires and fenders. Up to a 2.4” tire.
The frame was constructed from top quality light-weight tubing by Columbus (down tube, top tube, seat tube, seat stays) and has Reynolds 853 heat treated fork legs and chain stays.
Includes traditional slotted dropouts front and rear with 135 mm rear spacing. Front dropouts face forward for disc brake safety.
ISO disc brake mounts front and rear.
Low rider rack mounts on the fork, fender and rack eyelets front and rear. Rear rack eyelets on the seat stays with “kite” supports.
The frame also has internal dropper post routing on the seat tube, and an internal light wire port on the down tube. Cable routing options for each configuration.
Top tube length 535 mm; Effective seat tube 565 mm; Standover height ~800 mm
This is a thoughtfully designed frame with excellent ride qualities and some unique flair.
If you’re in the market for a new bike for the coming season, you won’t have to wait long for it. Better still, you get to choose your paint scheme. Go simple, or go wild — your choice of colors. Paint cost is not included in the sale price. If you’re uncertain about a color, we can talk it through and once I know what you’d like I can quote you for it.
Usual turn-around time for paint is about 4-8 weeks depending on who’s doing the work and how busy they are. To be clear, the frame must be professionally finished (paint or powder coat) before going out the door.
After paint there are parts and components to consider: You can buy this as a frame and fork only or I can help you with parts and assembly. Contact me and let’s talk through the options. I have a lot of experience with parts and I’m happy to assist.
If you are interested in rack for this one, I can help steer you towards quality pre-made racks, or if you’re looking for something custom, that’s always a possibility. I can go over options, costs and time-frames for hand made racks.
Frame and fork cost is $3650, which is about 25% less than a full custom frame set. The best part is, if this one fits you, you get all the benefits of a custom bike and don’t have to wait. Except for paint, this one is ready to roll. If you have any questions about the size and fit, again, please get in touch.
This will make a great bike for someone who wants to get out on long rides in the coming season. Touring or day trips into gravel and exploring remote roads — this is going to be a good one.
If you have any questions about the fit, please get in touch and I can go over it with you.
