Now available in 4 configurations, the Ahearne+MAP handlebar was designed to be a comfortable all around commuter bar. It has an ergonomic bend that follows the natural hand position of a rider, making it easy on the wrists. The design is based on a the old Cinelli "Pope" bar, and has been adapted to fit modern mountain bike brake levers and shifters. Grip area diameter, 7/8”. There is a 25mm rise from the stem clamp, which means the bar can also be flipped and used with a drop if that’s your preference.

Note: We no longer offer a shorter version of the Ahearne/MAP handlebar because the bar can easily be cut down (by equally removing the desired amount from each end). If you don't have access to a hacksaw or pipe cutter, your local bike shop should be able to help. If you have questions, please feel free to ask us.

Some shifter and brake lever combinations take quite a lot of space, and don't leave much room for the hands. Before cutting a bar down we recommend installing levers, shifters, and grips to be sure everything fits optimally.
